Dunmanway Agricultural Show traditionally takes place on the first Sunday in July each year at Dromleena Lawn (Racecourse), Dunmanway.
Dunmanway Show is renowned as one of the highlights on the showing circuit each Summer. Walking around the showgrounds is like looking at a slice of country life. From pedigree animals to homebaking; everything is on display.
Apart from the hotly contested classes for horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, domestic arts, horticulture and dogs, we have a wide variety of activities to keep our spectators entertained.
There is always a wide range of sideshows; including Macra na Feirme competitions, Live music and dance floor, FREE children's entertainment, most appropriately dressed lady and family, bonny baby competition and much more. We hope to see you there!

Class Eligibility Criteria:
The Young Show Person Championship is open to exhibitors aged from 16 to 23 years as of 1st January 2023. Entrants are free to show any type of horse or pony, provided they are registered in an approved studbook. The animal will not be judged.
Format of Class:
This competition will be run on a direct entry system. Entrants will show their animal in hand and will be judged under the following criteria:
· Demonstrable understanding of safety when handling and showing horses
· Skill in showing their animal in hand (walk, trot up, stand for conformation assessment)
· Overall impression (including appropriate attire and turnout)
Competitors should be prepared to answer questions about their horse or pony and their general interest in showing and breeding.
