We always have a truly impressive indoor section, reputedly one of the best around, with more than 140 classes for cookery, jams, fruit, farm produce, eggs, flowers, needlework, handicrafts, photography and art.
There is also an array of trophies up for grabs in this section. The Helen O'Donoghue Memorial Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the overall best exhibit in the cookery section. The overall winner in the farm produce section will receive the Michael Walsh Memorial Perpetual Plaque (judged on a points system). The Jerh. Murray Memorial Perpetual Cup is presented to the overall winner in the horticulture section. The overall champion in the knitting section will receive the Vincent Smith Trophy and The Cleary Cup will be awarded to the overall winner in the Arts and Crafts Section
Our arts and crafts section has a wide range of classes for all age groups, from children to Active Retirement and Day Care Centre groups. We also run hugely successful classes for schoolchildren and teenagers in conjunction with the local schools.
